Use WordPress to Create a Website or Blog

Start your own website

Affordable. Flexible. Yours.

Do you want to be able to:

    • Share your message, service or product with the world?
    • Create a full-featured website yourself?
    • Easily add to or change your website content yourself any time?
    • Learn an important 21st century skill?

On this site, I’ll show you how you can start your own website, even if you have little or no technical experience.

If I can, you can. (You can read about my story and the site here.)

The basic steps we’ll be covering to create your website are these:

If that seems like a lot, don’t worry—depending on the purpose of your website, not all of these steps may be needed. To produce the best results in the most efficient way, I do encourage you to invest some time and thought in the first step, identifying your purpose and needs, before you start.

I’ll also be covering related processes and services you may need, depending on the purpose of your site. For example, you may want to create a mailing list, add a shopping cart, take payments, or create ancillary marketing materials. My aim is to use my research and experience to save you a lot of time and effort. There is a lot to learn. So be patient with yourself. It’s all within your reach, though.

If I can, you can.

Let’s go!
